Breeding for improvement, with a gentle touch

Moralee Farm is a family-run alpaca farm and vineyard set in the foothills of the picturesque South Downs in West Sussex. Founded in 2017 by Claire Holloway, we care for an elite herd of high-quality alpaca with award-winning genetics.

Our mission is centred on breeding for improvement – focussing on white and light-coloured alpacas with exceptionally fine fleece – in a gentle, loving and caring environment. All our alpaca are kept in small friendly groups, so are used to human contact and receive lots of attention.

We have close links with Bozedown Alpacas, who supplied our initial herd of breeding females, support our breeding programme and have provided access to their award-winning champion studs – so you can take advantage of those fabulous Bozedown genetics in the Sussex countryside.

Award-winning English wine, grown on our slope

Our five-acre vineyard sits on a south-facing slope of greensand soils, just 12 miles from the coast, where cooling maritime breezes and warm sunshine create ideal conditions for expressive English wines.

Planted in 2017 with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Précoce, it is tended largely by hand. Fruit is carefully selected at harvest and whole-bunch pressed, and our sparkling wines are made by the traditional method and aged on lees – because exceptional wine cannot be rushed.
